Dating back to the 1500's, the Müller family of Germany has worked diligently to create
the highest
quality glasswares for its countrymen and others all over the world to enjoy.
Beginning in 1860 these glass
blowing techniques were specifically customized for creating Christmas ornaments. As
each generation
passed, it would take great care to insure that the expertise involved in creating such
art was passed on
to the next.
By the 1960's young Klaus Müller-Blech, a 14th generation descendant, and Birgit
Eichhorn-Jeremias-Sohn
were spending countless hours in the glass workshops of their parents and grandparents in
Neustadt, Germany.
They learned every aspect of the profession and soon realized it was undeniably ingrained
in their spirit.
Separately, the two continued to work in the vocation into adulthood.
By 1992 Klaus & Birgit were grown and both planned to attend an antique Christmas
ornament convention
in Pennsylvania. It must have been fate, for the two met for the first time at the
convention, fell in love, and were married.
They then combined their skills and families to create the Inge-Glas workshops
in Germany. Named for Klaus Müller-Blech's late mother, the collection represents a
family operated business with fourteen generations
of effort, heart, and soul invested.
